The moon orbits the earth about every 27.3 days(a tropical month and sidereal month) and one revolution relative to the Sun in about 29.5 days (a synodic month). The earth takes about 365.25 days to do a full orbit around the sun. Therefore it takes the moon about 13.37 orbits around the earth for a full earth year not 12.

The primates that tried to divide time failed. They only used simple numbers like 12 or 7 it because anything with a decimal hurt their brain.
We are talking about savages that used stones and sundials as legitimate measurements.

It's uneducated trying to fit nature around their numbers not the other way around.

1. Why should anyone read beyond the most basic understanding of how astronomy works? If you still stuck in 2000 BC view of the solar system the gap in understanding is too vast.
