So as a lot of people know, when you have warn you get a flood control timer for posting. The higher your warn, the longer it lasts. First off, how come it doesn't tell you how much longer your cool down is? Also should I make that a suggestion or has it been done before and rejected?

Second question, even with 0% warn I have always had a flood control timer to some degree, I think it was maybe only 10 seconds. Not a big deal, but I know others have no timer whatsoever because they're able to accidentally double post (make 2 duplicate posts at the exact same time) Something that is impossible for someone like me and I have a timer. Why is that? I've seen people have warn in the past, eventually get rid of it all and are able to accidentally double post again meaning their timer is completely removed. Why do I have a small permanent one?

With 0%, you have a 30 second timer for posting. I think that's over all around the forum except maybe in the guild chats?

This was posted many years ago. Some things probably have changed.

Yeah I've read that before but it doesn't really answer my question. Also I don't believe there is a 30 second timer for everyone because then how are they able to double post?

that list is also out of date because it's well known that at 10% you can't post in PaRD but that says you lose it at 20%.

30 seconds is accurate.
Some people have connection issues while posting and while trying to post again can post twice inadvertently.

It would happen way more often then it does if there were no 30s.

Anyone with more then 1 trade topic can confirm the flood control exists and it is annoying in these cases.

I've def seen more flood control in certain areas like the trade section, but in others like general chat it seems they have none. I've had connection issues too but I've never been able to double post because the flood blocks the second one, that's why I don't understand how they can do it if the control is there.

Also before my warn I know for a fact my flood control was only 10-15 seconds.

There are connection issues that last more then 30 seconds, when you see the page not loading properly when you hit respond and assume its not posted so you try again and again, while it was posted.

In all the subforum I post there is 30s delay, can't speak for everywhere of course, but you "knowing for a fact it's 10-15 seems self contradicting."

I know for myself I have a 10-15 second timer but it doesn't seem others do. Idk I could be wrong it just seems off to me.

Well, for a lack of any official statement in the general rules specifying the exact times for all areas we can only argue on in the way of "I am right" and "no, I know I am right".

One can only assume it gets nor spelled out to encourage people to follow the rules.
Knowing the specifics for every area and the loss of access or increases waiting time could encourage people not caring for more warn since they know they have no loss in the areas they frequent on the next warn step.
