It depends on how you're referring to Jesus, of course. If you're referring to the God of the Old Testament (who later came to earth in the body of Christ). But I do not necessarily follow everything in the old book because that's what makes us different than the Jews. We follow the words of Christ. This is why we are Christian. We have a different interpretation of the old book and we follow Jesus's teachings, those that are paralleled in the old book and those that go against them.

Right. That is where I got my political beliefs and foundation. Through the words of Jesus and his teachings. Asking his disciples to steal is not a problem for me. Killing disobedient children obviously is.

Jesus didn't teach for us to use violence against those we disagree with. Are you talking about the sword analogy? I prefer the interpretation of coming to bring the sword as a metaphor. Not meant to be a literal call for violence but rather coming to accept that believing his teachings and spreading his word will separate (even family) you from others and may cause violence itself.

Even if we take that interpretation to be literal there's more instances of Jesus choosing peace over violence, by magnitudes.

If you translate his teachings into political arguments they often are aligned with left-wing ideology and not right-wing. But there are exceptions. I do not believe in the whole left versus right dichotomy as good vs bad, or even really think it should stay around.

I have quoted Jesus Christ and been labeled a "liberal" or a "commie" and the irony is hilarious to me. When I came to that conclusion if quoting Jesus himself causes hateful and ignorant people to call you a socialist or communist, maybe socialism is the answer and what Jesus would've taught.

2. Calling people hypocrites while also teaching people to not call others hypocrites.

3. Killing children who do not honor their father or mother. (disobedient)

3 things in one sliver of a section would have most WOKE people thinking you are not welcome in polite society.

(I believe in God. I think comparing Jesus to modern society is silly though because even he was HARDCORE CONSERVATIVE by todays standards and it’s just a silly comparison.

Let's start with 1 example. God created 2 genders, but leftists push for this endless gender ideology and you can be whatever you want.
