U.S. stocks slid for their second day in a row after President Donald Trump’s new 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico officially took effect on Tuesday. In response, Canada, Mexico and China — with China hit by an additional 10% duty — have prepared retaliatory measures.

However, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said on “Fox Business” on Tuesday afternoon that the U.S. might meet Canada and Mexico somewhere “in the middle” to “work something out” on tariffs.

Yea, right after you took profit on your calls, seems like the whole market did the same lol

It’s retarded that the market moves on these arbitrary statements

It really is a traders market now

Will look to scale back into calls tomorrow

During his 1st term he used tariffs as a negotiating tool so i think the statement from the Secretary just reiterated the plot. Market is in some sort of panic mode due to uncertainty so i guess any statements making things sound more certain, will be taken positively.

Yea these the type of market you gotta have cash ready for opportunities cuz it’s gunna be volatile.

The speech was awful from a cooperation/coming together standpoint, don’t know how markets will respond to that one
