I don't believe you because when people bring up PPP in terms of GDP on this board they get laughed at, you have to know this, why would PPP now all of a sudden king when describing sizes of NATO funding?
Ukraine is Eastern Europe, big difference, another big difference is they are not in NATO at all, literally not our problem, or Europe's problem but you insist on making it your personal problem.
Nobody in the USA wants World War 3 to start because of Poland starting problems and then pissing the bed when they are answered (Just like how world war 2 started with poland invading the danzig, and the UK's retarded defense pact)
It's a step by step process, Europe for a long time now has made the USA pay their way to defend themselves, then they gloat in Americans faces about shit like their free healthcare they can only afford because they don't have a Military Industrial Complex.
A soldier life costs you:
-1 mln euro (European)
-0,2 mln euro (Russia)
When these 2 face each other on the Battlefield, the 1 european overpaid soldier doesnt equal to 5 Russian soldiers.
So when it comes to war, you cant just compare euros spent by each side. So PPP makes more sense in this case.
We all know that NATO aint monolit. And people dont really want to risk their own lives, especially when their own life isn't at risk.
Baltics were under ussr occupation - a valid excuse to attack them and bring the "proper" status.
Germany and Poland were part of Russian Warsaw Pact, the name "Warsaw Pact" even comes from Polish capital, a valid excuse also. Germany had Hitler - another excuse for Russians to occupy them.
France? They had that Napoleon guy who tried to take over Russia.
The excuses to attack various NATO countries are ready to use.
Basically the plan is to take NATO countries one by one, while telling others "its not your war, please stand back, we wont attack you, we only dont like (insert nation) because (insert excuse)".
Now how does Ukraine help us: Ukraine while officially not in NATO, they are NATO candidate. They are willing to defend their homeland and stop the Russians. One million soldiers, more than any other European country can draft. Very stubborn nation also (unlike other europeans). All we need to do is to provide them with some money "loans", some ammunition and humanitarian aid. No need to spill any german/french/polish blood. This is a very cheap way to stop Russians. The best chance we have.
Also a proper thing to do, as Ukrainians gave away their nukes. If Ukraine falls to Russia, nobody in the future will ever give away their nukes. Helping Ukraine sends a message to other countries, that there are other ways to secure themselves than owning nukes.
And when we say about history, Poland built their own seaport Gdynia because Danzig community (more german than polish at that time) didnt really want us in Danzig.
So we built and used our own town for sea access.
So I don't know what you mean by polish assault on Danzig?
