LBGTQ people belong in mental institutions

its actually cause and effect, if you spray the people with jet fuel that turns the frogs gay, its normal for that to happen in people.

some peoples genes epitomize the changes, some don't.

it's important to maintain the Christ stance of understanding and forgiveness for those wages of sins.

Reddit unfortunately was the best place but they've now turned it into a new aged emotional support yahu chat session.

the issue being they report everything you do to the local authorities if you're sentiment disagrees with public opinion in a meaningful way, like how to achieve said positive change.

Reddit been trash for a long time lol. I unsubbbed from all the defaults in like 2012.

Apostolate was a perfect example of what was wrong with reddit. A bot that copy/pasted the top/best comment from a previous thread in a repost. You would not believe how mad people were when they realized it wasn't some witty guy, just a bot trolling anyone who did a repost. He had the most karma on reddit when he got found out, it was so funny how mad people were (about both his karma count and that reposts had been trolled).

its all moderated so that means the mods wanted that.

the best one was the MOsquito mod complaining about the deep state ghosting their reddit mod controls during past election.

literally a mod complaining to the user that he was a victim of unfair moderating. Def the #1 hypocrisy story ever that to this day the guy doesnt get.

and you could see people afraid to point it out in fear of getting moderated by him. it was next lvl cringe.

ya man if you dont like unconstitutional censorship in the form of moderation, try not doing it to others for a start rofl.

Being a mod does not make you omniscient. I've been a mod of a few subreddits and it's not like I have a way to detect every single bot.

For the mod abuse it happens every time. A smart mod will not ban you because they don't like you, they will wait until you do something just close enough to be banned. Then they will ban you for that and say that was the reason.

if youre the paid team you know whats up yo. the actual mods are the guys pulling the stings, some are actual mods.

the thing is its hierarchy, so if a mod finds out a lesser mod dislikes you, its pretty much over these days.

there is no real oversite in terms of fairness. if you make them even review a case theyll just ban you so they dont have to review it.

the site is a cesspool no doubt. and making them constitutes an automated violation(bot) being appealed by you the user rofl.

Most mods i came across on various online communities were usually the kind of people who been powerless their whole lives and once they got a taste of that online moderation power, they started to act like they were alpha males punishing people left and right for the suffering they lives their whole lives.

I mostly agree. I ran a sub and have owned cs servers over the years. The biggest red flag you ever see is when a brand new guy shows up and the very first thing they ask is how they can buy admin. I still run a cs server and it happens once a month at least. That is the last guy you want to give admin to.

it depends, some are actual law enforcement and lawyers who are pretty big power trippers in real life aswell.
ive gone into it before only to realize they had ghosted the communication incoming so i could only be heard or seen by them(mods).

its all a private club in one way. you cant really go in unless youve been grandfathered in previously because they look for the atypical fits like a new license plate at a local bar.

the mods aren't thinking about moderation they are thinking about girlfriends and those kinds of incentives and so they gatekeep it vigorously.

depends what site ofc.

Then there's discord mods. It's kind of fascinating from a psychological perspective. What drives a person who was treated unfairly to do the same to others? Is it learned? Or is it just vengeance?

You know what they say. Those who want power are often the most undeserving. But in the case of internet moderators I can't help but feel some pity because it's really such a meaningless amount of "power".
