Why'd Germany shut down all it's plants, so that less than 2% of it's generation is now nuclear? Why did France start shutting down plants to the point that they went from generating 300% of their own needed power from nuclear to a mere 62% (as of 2023) with the goal to have it down to 50% by this year?

Lockdowns - perspective was different for different age groups. We had a virus that was deadly to older people, and harmless to young people. In such situation the younger population should accept some temporary limits to slow the spread of virus.

The young and healthy do all the work to make all the products from food to energy to clothes to you name it. Young people need to work, young people need an education. The entire future of the human species relies on young people NOT being restricted.
The elderly could choose to stay in their own homes, live nice comfortable lives, take delivery of goods, and never risk exposure to covid. The world doesn't need them to exist to keep functioning. The world doesn't stop for old people. Old people shift their habits to continue surviving in spite of the fact that they're past the point of usefulness.
Why you're claiming those under retirement age should EVER accept any form of lockdown because some cold may harm the retirement age people is completely backwards.
