The Catholic church is the face of Christianity in many parts of the world, but not the Anglosphere and not Northern Europe which includes the Nordics, Holland, and Prussia.

We're Anglosphere folk in which the face of Christianity is big tent reformed Protestantism which is lower case baptist

Just to follow up on my post this is why "Christian" and "Catholic" are delineated religions here, they're not considered the same. "Christian" in the context of the Anglosphere means Protestant - Catholic is separate. Then Orthodox which is of course more fringe here is also separate and known as Orthodox. This is why if you can ask someone here if they're Christian and they might respond "no, I'm Catholic"
