Your build isn't bad it's just. IMO the infinity nova sorc is meant to clear fast, even in p8 games (with not much mf). If I wanted a high mf p1 sorc I would just do something different. Lightning, blizzard - and run actual MF items instead of piecing together a small amount of MF on a nova sorc, and just let the merc run infinity
