Nah, Merz will be a more conservative chancellor for a more conservative government than what we had these past 3.5 years. He's still an establishment figure who will not have the guts for a true change of course, but we'll at least get a marginal improvement, rather than the drastic worsening the Brits saw when Labour replaced the Tories.

Furthermore, the coming coalition will no longer involve the Greens, the party of upscale, self-loathing wokesters and climate alarmist types. Getting rid of the Green poison is in and off itself a big step in the right direction for Germany.
