From BOOK royalties, you all seem to not mention that part.
I am also a millionaire with multiple homes, and i am not a public figure in a high profile role nearing my 80's..
Literally anyone who has held down a good job for 60 years SHOULD be a multi millionaire, shit he should have millions in his 401k.

And why did people buy his book? Because he was a big name politician. That's called exploiting a public position for personal gain

Where do you people get this shit from? He is a life long public servant who was extremely popular with his electoral base.
A grifter would have leveraged his position for self profit, bernie never did unlike most.

Considering american banks wont even do business with trump because he is notorious for ripping them off i think that means even the one thing you claim he is needed for he is pretty bad at.

The main part of Trump's role in building buildings was acquiring financing & permits, which isn't easy. Trump, having a Charisma stat of 100, is uniquely gifted at this position

That's weird. Because the Banks that testified on his behalf said they loved doing business with him and would like to do business with him again.

Turns out, it's only when the DoJ, headed up by an activist, actively starts targeting banks specifically for doing business with Trump that they stop doing business with him.

Weird.

Sure. Just like Hunter Biden selling amateur artwork for $1.5 million. TOTALLY legit. Funny enough, if I know the owner of a bookstore chain, and I write a book, that owner can literally buy up every copy I have printed, and let it rot on shelves for the next 20 years. Schools can buy it for their libraries, etc. All perfectly legal.

The most interesting thing is that my entire family are Democrats. Half the people I work with on a daily basis are Democrats. Not a single one owns a single book by Bernie Sanders. Or Hillary Clinton. Or Barrack Obama.

I DO believe the book sold that many copies. But much as with Hunter Biden's shitty artwork, I'm more interested in "Who was buying?"

Its so crazy that people point to bernie a guy who after 40 years of public service owned ONE HOUSE and under 2 million net worth and scream HE MUST BE CORRUPT!
Name a republican senator who has been in for FIVE years with a lower net worth than bernie pre book sales OR after.

It usually is, yes.

$3 Million net worth for Bernie, another $2 million net worth for his wife.

Both spent their entire life in public service. How'd they make millions? Especially his wife, who bankrupted the school she was supposed to serve?

Bernie claims he stands for the working man. Yet he's a millionaire. Who has never worked in the private sector. Millions of people have worked for Walmart for their entire lives, retired after 45-50 years of work, and have a net worth approximately equal to the value of their house, and not much more.

Your claim that "Other politicians practice pay to play, therefore it's okay that Bernie does too!" Just means you have no principles. The bad thing isn't bad, as long as the person you like is the one doing it.

How would you not make millions in 50 years of well paying jobs?
Do you understand how investment works?
Bernie was not working at walmart, he was a mayor and a senator..
Bernie should be a lot wealthier than he is if anything.

Once again you are lying and putting words in my mouth, you can't help yourself, its compulsive.
I NEVER said bernie is pay to play and i NEVER said thats ok, stop being such a dishonest hack.

Wait, you just said 40 years of public service, now you're claiming 50 years of public service. Which is it?

If we assume that Bernie is paying his fair share of taxes, and has relatively normal expenditures when it comes to utilities, food, transportation, etc. then no, he probably wouldn't be a millionaire. He lives in an expensive area. When he started his life of "public service" the year was 1981. His pay as mayor was in the 50K range. His job for the House was also in the 50K range. His job in the senate was under 100K to start, though now it's 174K.

His overall earnings less expenses and the worth of his house SHOULD leave him with a very low worth, outside of the house itself. I DO believe that his "books" were all money laundering scams, and he doesn't pay much in taxes, he writes off everything he puts into his campaigns. Want to know why he was able to save virtually every penny?

He was part of the House when they passed housing, transportation, and living expense allotments for congresspeople. He was part of the Senate when they passed massive pay raises for all Senators and lesser raises for house members. He lived in a Mayoral estate when he was mayor. Sanders hasn't paid any of his own bills in over 40 years.

We have. :)
