lame attempt at splitting hairs shows me your argument has no weight. ill give you this, american teams have won alot in the nhl using Canadian players. but the team who has won the most is Canadian, and it isnt even close.
There's no splitting of hairs.
The San Francisco 49ers were once widely acknowledged as the greatest NFL team of all time. They managed to win 5 superbowls in a single decade. They are still, to this day, ranked third in Super Bowl wins (since they were the first to 5, they outrank the Cowboys and Packers).
So, it would be accurate, by your measure, to claim that the KC Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are both, by far, worse teams than the 49ers. Except that's stupid. The 49ers didn't even make the playoffs.
Is your next claim going to be that the British Empire is still the world superpower? Or perhaps that the Spartan Infantry is still the best infantry on the planet?
Even odds say you don't even remember the last Canadian Stanley Cup win. At least I actively remember 4 out of 5 of the 49ers Superbowl wins. The first one I remember watching, but couldn't tell you a single detail, was quite young.
If you wish to claim that Canada is historically the best at Ice Hockey, you'll find zero disagreement here. If you want to claim that they are currently, or have been the best any time in the last 30 years? You really need to make the case, because the stats do no bear that out.
