point being if the us teams had to use americans, they would almost never win... :thumbsup:
If you wanted to examine the truth of that, you'd need to look at Olympic records. As we know, Canadians who truly become American Citizens through and through still play for the US during the Olympics. Canadian hockey players who are only here for the pay and the chance to win tend to play for Canada during the Olympics.
That's perfectly normal, acceptable, and legal. And the Olympic record for Ice Hockey gold medals, for all time, is Canada: 3, US: 2. Lots of nations compete, 2 nations win. The next winter Olympics will either see Canada pull ahead +2, or tie it up. At that point, we can determine if "The US only owns Ice Hockey because of money" or if it really does appear that Canada in general is becoming worse at Ice Hockey.
See? Nice, reasoned argument. Far better than "Without Canadians US teams would never win!" Pfft.
