Another Eagles offensive coordinator gone after 1 year to take a head coaching job.



Hurts had 4 different offensive coordinators in 4 years of college.

He will now have his 5th different offensive coordinator in 6 years next season in the NFL.

He has only had the same coordinator for more than a season once in his career. In 2021 & 2022. Wild.

Charles Woodson was saying the Eagles defense needs to keep coming and hit Mahomes a lot.
He said even if the refs throw a weak penalty flag. Keep coming and hitting precious Mahomes.
I love Charles Woodson's mentality but we already know what's going to happen if you do that.

Knock Mahomes on his ass!! Maybe the Eagles defense can get away with it. The Texans couldn't.
I miss the old days when defenses could knock out quarterbacks. Now you can barely touch them.

I was re-watching the Ravens vs. Giants Super Bowl from early 2001. The 2000 Ravens defense. What a special defense!!
But half of their hits that year would've been a penalty flag, fine and likely even a suspension today. I love DEFENSES too.

I changed my mind about the Super Bowl tonight. I was planning not to watch it. But no sense in me being bitter about the situation.

I'm going to watch the game tonight. Channelview's Jalen Hurts (from Houston). He's a big Astros and Rockets fan. I like him.
So I'll be cheering for Hurts and the Eagles. But if the Chiefs 3-peat I'll be happy for DeAndre Hopkins winning a Super Bowl ring.

But also if the Chiefs 3-peat tonight. The Texans at Chiefs game is likely the Week 1 Thursday Night opener for the 2025 season. I wouldn't mind that.

But repsectfully, you do not want to "keep coming" at Mahomes. History doesn't shine on people who blitz him. You have to beat Mahomes with a 3 or 4 man rush or you'll get smoked. (with a healthy line and healhty ankle).

I think it's smart to buy more time. I'd want to trade for DK Metcalf or Garrett Wilson.

So many options for teams looking to upgrade at WR1 or WR2. Better than Stefon Diggs.
When you have Nico Collins you really don't need another star WR. Just somebody decent.

Right now, with Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell being injury prone, we don't have that second guy that can create separation or make big plays.

The problem is if the Texans don't re-sign Stefon Diggs by this afternoon. They take on an ugly $16 million dead cap space hit for 2025.
Which pretty much limits them to pursuing guys like Darius Slayton and drafting a wide receiver at pick 25. That's the best they can do.

Thought he played on tag this year already, and if so doesn't that make him unrestricted fa next year unless he signs a new contract?
