That won’t last. Most people are on utility contracts. By the times 80-90% of people are due to renegotiate those contracts heating bills won’t really be relevant.

Most people don’t move(and by default sign utility agreements) in the winter.

Weak deflection. The debate was about the Trump admin cutting down government spending and how this hurts his own supporters. I don't really care about symbolic but irrelevant stuff which hurts no one like the Gulf of America/Mexico thing.

"symbolic but irrelevant" LOL are you okay?

yeah renaming the gulf of mexico was a really right, principled thing, that made total sense. if you're a racist twat that is

The Gulf borders two American nations, namely Mexico and the United States of America.

Having it named the "Gulf of Mexico" implies Mexican ownership. No such ownership exists. It's a primary gulf in North America, and possibly the most important gulf in THE Americas.

Thus, the Gulf of America.

Imagine claiming racism when you're REMOVING nationality from the most important gulf in two continents.

"America is all of the New World, not just the USA, so America is the name of a continent"

5 seconds later

"What you can't name it the Gulf of America it belongs to Mexico, the name of a country"

I flat out don't care one way or the other. I was more interested in the "THAT'S RACIST!" nonsense. Fucking racebaiters never stop.

It only had the name "Gulf of Mexico" because some Europeans decided to call it that. Europeans don't have rights to the naming conventions of the Americas at this point. The peoples of the Americas do.

Fact is the Mexican government didn't give a shit, the Mexican people didn't give a shit, the American people didn't give a shit, and the Gulf of America is now a neutral name. If Trump decides to rename it to the Gulf of the United States? We'll have a different subject to talk about. Because that is the US imposing a level of ownership that we, like Mexico, do not have.

That's not the reason. Trump's friends would like to drill for oil there. Biden forbad drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, you can go around the regulation by drilling in the Gulf of America.
Geographical names are there to be recognizable for everyone. Imagine the amount of reprint and waste just so Trump could troll MSM.

I don't know why Biden-era "regulation" would prevent drilling. "Regulation" isn't law, and all executive "regulation" can be unwritten by the Executive. That'd be Trump.

Not saying you're wrong, I don't know. You're probably right. Just that that doesn't really make sense in the first place.

But that's yet another mark against the racebaiter, if we're being honest.

And you know, it's pretty amazing that people accuse "racism" when speaking of Mexico OR Mexicans. Mexico is a nation with a population of 128.5 MILLION people. They have every race and nearly every religion and culture as a part of their people, just like the United States. There is no "Mexican Race", no matter what that brown supremacy group La Raza claims. There are white, black, red, yellow, AND brown Mexicans. Only a fucking racist would assume "Mexican" is synonymous with "brown".
