Does anyone feel sympathy for the large number of people who voted for the policies trump ran on thinking they would be spared?

Theres a lot of these kinds of stories going around

https://www.politico.com/news/2025/02/14/doge-trump-omb-gop-00204435?cid=apn

Republican lawmakers are pushing back against sweeping cuts to the federal government launched by President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, as their downsizing crusade begins to hit GOP constituents.

A growing number of GOP lawmakers are trying to intervene with the Trump administration and are weighing legislation to circumvent the changes. But with the Department of Government Efficiency and the Office of Management and Budget moving at a rapid clip and flouting federal law to carve up the government, the lawmakers face monumental challenges in getting the White House to spare their constituents from the ax.

American Farmers supply around 41% of the food aid that USAID and the U.S. Department of Agriculture send around the world, which amounted to $2.1 billion in food aid from American farms in 2020, the Washington Post reports.

But with Trump shutting down the program $340 million in purchases and shipments of U.S. food aid has been paused, leaving farmers unsure of what the future holds.

Other farmers who voted for Trump are angry about the president’s tariff plans that could lead to retaliation from China that could impact soybean and corn farmers’ ability to sell their crops — something that happened during the first Trump administration.

The first article had some absurd numbers for park workers IMO. Idaho must have the best parks. Hawaii, was totally broken park infrastructure and bum cities, perhaps that state parks tho?

As for the farmer angle, is that the opinion of small time farmer owners? Or Syndicate farmers with lobbyist. They really need some better right to repair policy for their equipment

Trump won all the farm belt states by such overwhelming margins that he can easily shed a few pissed off farmers who lost access to their government pork (pun intended).

Also, isn't it curious? The Trump admin is doing the right, principled thing, even at the risk of negatively affecting his political support or approval ratings - yet the liberal side frames this in a negative light.
