For context, every piece will be an upgrade. I know most people will say AMD, but probably gonna go Intel.

I am coming from:

GTX 1080
I7 6700k
16 GB RAM

I have the PSU, RAM, Case already. Any issues with the MOBO? Looked ok. Also, not a huge fan of RGB at all, but the CPU cooler looks fine and I can deal with it.

Why intel? Also, doesn’t this case have bad airflow, with the solid front panel? You sure you want AIO? Good air CPU coolers are good these days too…

I am aware AMD is a bit better but at the upgrade scale I am coming from it won't really make a difference in my eyes since everything will be better regardless. Going Intel as it's all I've known in recent years. I had AMD in the past and wasn't a good experience (back in 09) but I know they come a very long way and are incredibly competitive, arguably the best in some areas.

The case I already had, is there one you can recommend for better air flow?

AIO I have had previously, I thought it served me very well. The one I choose honestly I like the LCD for temp. Kinda gimmicky, but I REALLY dont give a shit about the RGB. In fact, I hate it. RGB is in everything, just not what I care for. What would be the argument to go air CPU cooler over AIO? Price?

Many good cases to choose from these days. Didn’t know you already had one. If you decide to change, here is a good source of case tests:

The new intel CPUs had a heavy silicon degradation problem (not sure if really fixed or not yet) and suck a lot of power. Most people go AMD.

Air cooling is cheaper, almost as good as liquid and less things can go wrong (Gamer’s Nexus also has CPU coolers’ ranking). But if you like the look of this AIO then probably nothing wrong going with your gut feel.

As someone already mentioned, case.

Can find cheaper dual chamber that will serve you much better air flow wise.

This is a great case if your parts aren’t dependant on air flow.

I used it with a rebuild for nephew that had Ryzen 3600/3060.

I wouldn’t put my i9 13900/7800 xt in it.

Also, save yourself a little $ and look at thermaltake aio’s.
I simply wont use anything else based on $:Perfomance.
If its for aesthetic’s that ofc doesn’t apply.

I figured it couldn't be the end of them but maybe? lol

I want to buy an OLED 27 inch 4k monitor, but I don't know if they're being manufactured as of yet. Last I checked I think they are only manufactured at 32 inch monitor as the smallest, but I don't need a monitor that size.

What do you think about playing in 4K?

Cpu really didn't matter for me for certain cases of you look at 4k results you see cpu become less of a factor on an average
Spend 1k for to of the line cpu ram mobo for what?]

Certain games that do what for me?
Got to turn some eye candy on that I didn't even notice
Mac settings stick at times moderation is fine
