for pvm nova, infinity rly is the best option... merc having his weapon slot open for insight helps a mana shield build quite a bit, so even if we aren't thinking about the -55% ELR vs having higher integer dmg you're already at a fairly big QoL disadvantage due to needing fewer potions

The beauty of the Diablo 2 is that you cant go wrong and not everything has to be a dick measuring contest, oh this one has more girth this one is longer but its tilting to the left this one has huge balls etc. Infinity sorc is the meta because of the insight but if you play with other people that are rocking insight on a merc then in that case it is not the best anymore. Some builds will shine more in certain situations than the other but in real play its mostly the same. I still have not tried the obsession 3nova 3lmastery due to my own rule "if it cant be used for pvp do not spend shitload of hrs" but im 100%sure its the fastest clear speed on players1-5 despite having only -30light res. Jmod coh is just plain dumb considering the cost of the shield and amulet to really make it work and you do not benefit from block unless investing 111-188dexterity for 50-75%block and even then this mang song setup will do everything the same (-50enemy light res) i even sold one of my two jmods to charsi for the sake of this video and did not record and i only regret not recording it.

The most efficient build is always the one you enjoy playing the most because you will end up playing it more then the other!

Yes as long as you are not stuck with spirit sword lidless combo its how you use it and how long can you last
