Exactly, the issue is tenants. It's Canada. I can't let a home sit empty at -20C, could pay a property management service to go check it, but that still seems like a lost opportunity when you could have a tenant in there for a few years.
But I haven't entered the rental market for a reason and that's just simply the stress and my micromanaging that comes with my personality I guess.
So while I'd like to get one ahead of time and chunk it off while I live elsewhere it would be challenging for my personality.
Especially if it’s geographically harder to get to from where u live
I tried it with one property, local so easy for me to check in. had one really good tenant and one really awful one. My mom moved to our state to be closer to kids so I just let her stay there now and suck it up. She buys enough shit for the kids so it’s a wash. But now I’m stuck with this property that id rather just get rid of
