Yes. But your posts here suggest you have been in education for a long time and just last year you were posting about your cleaning trips... Its interesting.

I’ve spent a total of about 6 years in education. Mostly child development roles.

I was posting memories last year. I’ve been out for about 2 years.

During the height of covid HazMat roles paid nearly triple what I could make in Lifeskills development.
(Naturally working with Lifeskills kids I deal with 504s,IEPs and Spec Ed accommodations daily. Don’t need to have done this for a LONG TIME to be familiar with such things when it’s a daily part of what you do.)

We spend more dollars per child on education and consistently rank low when compared to other developed nations. The issue by the left has always been framed around money "we need more money for the kids", when it's obviously BS because if we spend so much we would have the best educated kids.

It's not the money, it's how that money has been allocated. Huge rise in administrator functions while teacher/student ratios haven't changed. The voucher system will force public schools to 'get good'. Another example of how free flowing unlimited funds have resulted in stagnation. So much of the current system needs to be tore down and re-worked. We need reform to the studs for efficiencies to be built and these current stagnant systems will fight tooth and nail to remain. That's why you're seeing so much opposition to DOGE.

They really haven't touched much so far, but these systems understand that they're being threatened, while dumb people will focus on Trump, Elon, whatever other single person and miss the whole point here. The drivers of the change are irrelevant, change itself is what's critically important.

It's one of the defining fundamental principles that has made capitalism the unquestioned success story over socialism. It's the reason why fab makers are now making 2NM nano chips, when only a few years back 4NM was the standard while 10 years ago it was maybe 16/12NM chips and so on. Continual competition drives this.

A lot of government functions have zero competition, imagine after many decades how they've stagnated?
I seen it myself, i worked for DHS for 2 years many years ago. Literally heard my supervisors talking about how we have to spend leftover funds at the end of the year otherwise we would lose it. Those type of interests are not aligned with efficiency. A lot of these places are more focused on self preservation (keeping their own jobs, keeping increasing budget allocations) rather than caring about tax dollars.

How did I get suspended for a sarcasm post replying to Duff. It was quite clearly sarcasm / a funny.

Probably the pejorative at the end, but they will suspend for literally anything without explanation.
And people on d2jsp love reporting people, if someone says something bad about me I don't even have to report them because someone else always does.

Absolutely, it's a principle of natural law - applicable not only to business & the economy, but also interpersonal relationships. The foundational driving force behind evolution as well

Just stuff that the left pretends doesn't exist

Sam is a piece of garbage but man did I chuckle during his recent interview when the interviewer said "Do you think he's doing this from a place of insecurity over XAI" (he being Elon) and Altman replied with "Probably his whole life is from a position of insecurity"

That beef continues.
