Nope, I think they're going to push some kind of christian bullshit all along if that institue is going to be saved somehow. It would be best to abolish that institution alltogether and let the states take care of the education. If you have a majourity progressive voters in New York and they want their kids educated their way so be it. Parents in conservative states can have their coservative education. No need to indoctrinate kids with political agendas no matter how much of a "good reason" there is,.
We spend more dollars per child on education and consistently rank low when compared to other developed nations. The issue by the left has always been framed around money "we need more money for the kids", when it's obviously BS because if we spend so much we would have the best educated kids.
It's not the money, it's how that money has been allocated. Huge rise in administrator functions while teacher/student ratios haven't changed. The voucher system will force public schools to 'get good'. Another example of how free flowing unlimited funds have resulted in stagnation. So much of the current system needs to be tore down and re-worked. We need reform to the studs for efficiencies to be built and these current stagnant systems will fight tooth and nail to remain. That's why you're seeing so much opposition to DOGE.
They really haven't touched much so far, but these systems understand that they're being threatened, while dumb people will focus on Trump, Elon, whatever other single person and miss the whole point here. The drivers of the change are irrelevant, change itself is what's critically important.
