crafted this amu with 8% life, +3 melee skills, 17 all res, 22 str and i managed to get the bomb =)
i had exalted it with 35 energy shield and 13% armor. i used 2 whittling omens to get 172 life. what is really strange is that i first got 78 mana and then i got lucky, but mana on amulet is ilvl 82 so with the second omen of whittling why i was able to reroll mana instead of strenght (ilvl74) or all res (ilvl 80) or life% (ilvl 80)?
i mean, i am super happy about it but wtf went on there exactely?

There's no way 78 mana is ilvl 82

I'm not sure you know how whittling omens work? They remove the lowest level modifier (based on level for the attribute) and reroll it.
78 mana is level 31.


22 strength is level 44.


17 all res is level 80.

yeah i understood the way it works: different Ilvl for different amount of stats. i managed to roll a uber amulet at the end and now i understand a lot more about crafting. ty guys

Pretty lucky i spent 12 omens on a staff to get accuracy rating being rolled on it 11 times out of 12

with the next 2 omens i got even luckyer there mate ^^
