I see lots of people recommend using Eth Treks for an Infinity Sorc build but Im wondering why no one suggest Silkeweaves with the 10% Increased max mana and 5 mana per kill. Is it the fhr and str?

silks won't make a difference because your mana is already massive. you're not going to run out

chances are your psn res sucks though. cure works wonders but you still want some poison res.

eth treks forces you to spend some points into str, and it's only 20 frw. I prefer just using a pair of low req rares with 30 frw, 35+ pr and mf

Both are very good options honestly. Personal preference and need based on other gear.

Psn resists is the key for es sorcerer since its the only thing that does damage to you. If you find it another way then go for.it...but you need the res from the boots is huge

treks are a great option for a self wield infinity nova sorc because they have a lot of great stats but mainly because you can very easily cap out your poison res, which is the most important res since psn dmg goes directly to your (often very low) life pool.

another great reason to wear treks is their repairs durability mod which along with the very high % ed on them can give you a huge boost to def if you can get an ethreal pair (267 max def!)
since casting nova counts as standing still your defense is used and since you're often tele stomping into monsters attack range, higher def is quite important for this build! this is why I think the best in slot armour for the build is actually fort archon plate because of the free level 15 chilling armour proc
(and other great mods like 25 fcr, high def, res, life, flat dr and life replen) and the strength from treks helps equip the ap



eth treks aren't that high str req, you have that much if you're going for an elite base vipermagi or archon plate fort both of which have decent defense, a very important stat for nova sorcs


I agree crafted boots are potentially better than silkweaves
