If anything, upgrade your CPU to a 5700x3d or 5800x3d and possibly GPU depending on what resolution you plan on playing. You still have a solid build today for all things 1440p.

I mainly play on 2k

My system seems slow, I may just need to do a wipe and reset, also I only only have 16 gb of ram, and then my other issue is my ssd is 500 gigs. so i should probably upgrade all that as well

What's your motherboard model? If your current motherboard doesn't support 5000 series x3d processors it's not worth salvaging the build.

Asus support shows support for all 5000 series x3d processors. If you want a beefy upgrade regardless, 9800X3D + mobo/ram.

dope ty

this upgrade is far below my 1500 budget so i will just push the bigger upgrade too later on because from what ive seen the 5080 isnt doing so hot atleast based on reviews

I have no desire to play at 4k, im happy with 2k for the games I play; I was just having issues with cpu/ram from what i could tell.
