Right now DOGE had said they've achieved ~$1BN cuts/day and they think they can get this to $3BN/day, so annualized lets call it a trillion. Why wouldn't every American that expects to continue to live for the next 5, 10, 20, 40 years not want to get behind this? Like is the foresight so impaired that you can't see how spending to the eyeballs is not sustainable? Do you so hate the other side that you can't even get behind something that literally benefits future you and your kids and grandkids?

The correct way to go about the audit is to allow them to scan the payments with an algorithm that saves only the questionable transactions and ignores the rest.

It's not uncommon for people that worked in private industry to also work in some public capacity simultaneously or after their private careers. It happens all the time. The current guy nominated for commerce Lutnick was literally CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, a big broker dealer in the US. Bessent who's nominated for treasury secretary ran a hedge fund for many years. I could go down the line and show dozens of these executives that ran companies ending up in some senior advisory role or secretary of XYZ. Like this isn't even unique to Trump but true for other president.
