depends on each issue, but generally you can give credit to some degree if/when they try, then more credit if/when it works.

take obamacare for example. they tried to get it drafted right away but it took about up until Obama's mandate liquified and insurance companies gutting it to get it done. and it didnt change affordability in healthcare, maybe made it worse. he did try tho and imo with good intentions.

so far i havent seen much if anything from the trump whitehouse to address grocery affordability.

If you are democrat voter and see and hear this, what do you think the appropriate response here? Is it to screech as the president wants to make some cuts to ensure longevity or you get behind the cuts because quite literally they are existential in gravity if nothing is done.

Right now DOGE had said they've achieved ~$1BN cuts/day and they think they can get this to $3BN/day, so annualized lets call it a trillion. Why wouldn't every American that expects to continue to live for the next 5, 10, 20, 40 years not want to get behind this? Like is the foresight so impaired that you can't see how spending to the eyeballs is not sustainable? Do you so hate the other side that you can't even get behind something that literally benefits future you and your kids and grandkids?

although i will say i expect prices to start going down sooner then that, especially gas and once gas goes down the rest should follow

because the person in charge of the gutting/cutting cannot be trusted, he is a south african immigrant that gets billions of dollars in subsidies from OUR taxes and thinks he knows how OUR taxes should be spent or not spent
some of the cuts are good (yes, im agreeing) but a lot of what Elon and his twink squad are doing is going after government employees and social safety nets that we need as a country

That’s retarded. He can’t be trusted because why? The cuts are either real or they’re not. It’s not hard to have an audit trail to show either 1bn a day is true or it’s not. Both things can’t be true at the same time. If he’s lying it’s literally evident in real time and would be exposed and called out.

So far, not a single social safety net has been cut. you guys create these false realities of what’s happening and don’t even care to even see if what you’re saying reflects reality.
