Correct. The US uses sanctions. Our federal incomes are almost entirely based on taxes on the citizenry. Yet again, every nation uses tariffs against us to force our companies to produce inside those nations borders to do business at all.

And this thing of, "On shore production won't increase" that's just dumb. If there's not enough produced on shore to cover the demand, then it WILL be produced on shore if you can't utilize foreign nations and foreign labor to produce it and import it without tariff. It's all about the profit. If global corporations can no longer use slave labor and complete lacks of environmental regulations in foreign nations to make obscene profit in the US, then they'll simply go back to producing IN the US. It's why they LEFT the US in the first place.

Good to have external enemy to point to and rally against, particularly when domestically leadership has been such shit. When i look at Canada, it's incredible how monumentally terrible the country has been run for Canadians themselves. Huge immigration, huge home affordability issues, no economic growth adjusted for real terms at all since like 2015. This level of mismanagement should lead to public lynching's in the street. I'm serious, it should be criminal to fuck up a country this bad economically for 10 years and the worst you can have happen is you get voted out?
