It says back to back. My posts were not back to back. Not trying to argue here. Only way I see around this is to trade Via PM.

Early Bump:
Posting 2 back-to-backposts in one thread before 4 hours.
Creating several threads to bypass the early bump rule.

The rules specifically apply to posts made by the topic creator. As such, you are not permitted to post consecutively in your own topic within a four-hour period.
If you require further clarification, I recommend referring to the following discussion: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=104973492&f=258 (Particularly Post #4 and Post #5, which provide a clear explanation).

However, while the trade related communication is supposed to take place in the thread, there are particular posts that fall under the Early Bump rule even if they are not directly covered by the definition in the Trading Rules.

Posts such as "t4t" or "pmed" have - if they don't have any other context - no other purpose than bumping the topic and are also considered (or rather: treated like) Early Bumps. A "ty" should really take place in PMs, a "PMed" is not needed as they'll get a notification about receiving a PM regardless. Your topic contains a handful of such Early Bumps and I would assume that that is why it had been closed.

Just out of curiousity for myself, am I able to negotiate prices in the thread, even if that includes 5 posts within 10 minutes? Am I allowed to post updated stocks in the thread after an item has been sold? Where is the line at?

Possibly just update the rules that you told me to read in the first place? Instead of looking at a 4 month old interpretation from a trusted tag in a closed thread?

This would depend on the reviewing (Trade) Moderator. There may be limitations if negotiations become really excessive, but then we have that "No trades via PM" rule in place and - most importantly - it makes SA investigations the easiest if relevant aspects of the trade (such as the exact price both parties agreed on, especially if it differs from the one initially asked) are clearly written inside the topic. There's no strict "all bargaining must take place via PM" kind of rule. But again, where exactly the line gets drawn is up to the respective TM.

Edit: From the trading rules:

... so always negotiate and deal through a trade thread, not PM ...

Allow me to answer this,

The rule encourage users to negotiate trades in the public within your topics, which means but are not limited to offers/counter-offers/trade offers,
however any replies that can be resolved by PMing or messaging in-game which includes but are not limited to exchange of private information such as game tags/game name and passwords, thanking the users (t4t), saying PM'd (deemed as unnecessary because users that you're PMing will get a system notification anyway) or stock updated/more (deemed as unnecessary because you may edit your first post to reflect on your current trade status) should not be posted as the above replies are not considered negotiations.

HOWEVER (with the exception of posting private information which is always a bad idea),
you may reply with the above providing at least 4 hours has passed since the last reply on the topic, a good way to check for that is whether or not the "bump" button is active.

That's generally how the early bump rule is enforced.

Thank you. It's ironic that I hate bumping my threads. The response to trades in my case, are for inventory records. I know this may not be the case for other people. I will use gold logs instead; may take longer but I don't want infractions.

May I suggest updating trade rules to make this less ambiguous? Just a suggestion. My questions have been answered. Thank you for the straightforward answer.

For update of inventory record to reflect on your current trade status you can edit your first post without actually bumping your topic, but you're given the freedom to do so 4 hours after the last reply should you wish to reply with "t4t, pm'd, updated",

at that point if you post content like that after 4 hours from the last reply and you see the bump button again then it's not considered an early bump.

Appreciate your suggestion bud, I do understand the frustration/contradictions that entails with everything not being listed black & white.
