I dunno mate. Only something like 4% of rape allegations result in convictions. And many of those convictions end up overturned later based on either successful appeal, new evidence, or a stupid accuser who admits it was bullshit (Duke Lacrosse).
If you include all plea deals and lesser sexual harassment charges (unwanted looks, touching, etc. aka NOT rape), again, that result in either convictions or plea deals, you get ALMOST to 50%. So it would seem that the majority of rape allegations ARE false accusations.
The more you know, right? And this leads directly back to my question: If you want rape to be penalized similar to murder, will we apply the same standard to false accusations of rape?
