Yep, complete graphical/ui overhaul with tournaments planned. I truly believe BreakyCPK along with Honcast pioneered and played a huge part in propelling eSports to the point it is at today and not many people even realize it. So while part of the community is cannibalizing itself right now, Im extremely hopeful this is going to be amazing.

I hope so too, I remember the good ole days of honcast. But I'm not really liking what I am seeing from the platform "igames". It looks like they are a blockchain development platform, and naturally that is going to turn many people off - let alone it being a completely unheard of name before.

Interesting you would say that since I dont think there's really anything to "see" about iGames yet? I could be wrong but I think there's hardly any actual information released and an overabundance of extreme biased speculation from some people who have been holding a silent grudge for 10 years against a certain person.

I personally don't mind installing any unknown launcher for a game, I've been doing it for like 25 years, playing random asian mmos and what not... so no worries here. I'm also not sure why everyone thinks anything blockchain related is a scam, but you're not wrong that it definitely seems to be striking fear into a small group of loud people... for some reason I again, cannot fathom.

As for being an unheard of name... well we know the team behind HoN:R and I dont think it gets more reputable than that. So clearly I'm desperately wanting to invest in this project, just thought Id offer an FG overpay before swiping

well imo heroes of newerth was the worst executed dota allstars clone :/... okay maybe not the worse (because somehow heroes of the storm existed but can we even consider this a moba when theres no gold/items etc?) but still, league was better, dota 2 was better, argueably smite was better, what else was there?

i did play HoN for a bit before dota2 cameout but the game died so fast...

Thats fine to have your opinion, but the reality is a majority of the pro players that left for Dota 2 did it for prize pools. As a game? They all pretty much unanimously preferred HoN. It was a better engine and a vastly more competitive game. A large portion of the greatest Dota players of all times were HoN vets, and even the latest TI winners Team Liquid were (4 out of 5) HoN pros up until 2017? The game lasted for about 8 years, so I dont think thats "died fast" but if you say so.

damn... i thought HON died shortly after dota 2 cameout honestly... lmao when i say dead i mean it lost all traction/media coverage... the proof is that as a moba fan i havent heard of HoN since like 2013 or something...

im not even trying to trashtalk the game, im just hoping they'll do better than the first release. i remember i played it SUPER EARLY and there was huge problems with it, wich is why i switched to league then dota 2 (iirc hon cameout before league even)

i just googled it, i was right. i played Hon in 2009 BEFORE league cameout, in the 'beta' of HON like super early beta i guess so maybe thats why i have bad memories of it being buggy and all... i never played the game post 'official release'

Ditto! i stopped playing HoN right after Dota2 came out ( i had to change game and follow my BF a month after he left me for D2 ) and at some point, there was even a news about the game closing permanently. I never confirmed it coz i just moved on. thats why i was surprised that they've posted some teaser stuff that made me excited. what a journey
