Was wondering what you all thought of the Mark Stone low hit on Heiskanen. I saw it in real time and slowed down. Hintz stick trips Stone a little and then he reaches across to make a play on the puck and hits Miro directly in his knee.

I don't think it was a dirty hit but I do think they should've reviewed the play and issued a double-minor.

I'm a die hard Stars fan and hate to see another injury to arguably one of the best defensemen in the league who was about to play for his native Finland and been the difference maker for them too :(

Is Mark Stone just lazy and chop blocked Miro because he knew he was about to get worked. Yes. Did Mark Stone smile like a weirdo while watching the play on the I-Pad right after. Yes. Wtf?

Any hit to a players knee even on a play like that should be a double minor and a fine.

If a Stars 4th liner did that to Jack Eichel and injured him for months I wonder what the league would say?

On rewatch, Hintz chops Stone's skates for no reason other than to trip him, while he's already going to lunge for the puck. Unfortunate result.

Ya Hintz definitely clipped em'

That being said an open ice hit like that needs to at bare minimum be looked at in Toronto for the potential double-minor call. Any play that results in an injury should. I blame Hintz just as much as Stone just don't think Stone even had a play on the puck. He was trying to plug the rush because Hintz and Heiskanen were about to blow past him that's why I said it was a "lazy play" something I see in the beer league I play in. Also in the beer league I play in even if you accidentally go FORWARD into someone's knee/s you are probably catching some hands.

Stone smiling and laughing after it happened made it look way worse. Stone gonna get slammed by Benn next time they meet up lol
