This war is very interesting from the standpoint of chemical weapons

Israel could have wiped out Hamas completely if they simply pumped chlorine gas, which is very cheap, into the tunnels. The moral justification for this is the same justification of dropping nuclear bombs on Japan - doing it would save countless lives & end the war for good. Israel has shown a profound weakness by not gassing the tunnels

/e doing this would also save the countless children, elderly & injured people who were slaughtered while sheltering in hospitals and schools.

Reports from October 2023 suggested that Israel, under U.S. supervision, planned to flood Hamas tunnels with nerve gas to incapacitate militants and rescue hostages. However, a U.S. Department of Defense spokesperson refuted these claims, labeling them as inaccurate.

bad optic's eh.

Nadav Weiman is one of the managers at “Shovrim Shtika” organization which posses radical left stands and doesn’t miss a chance to speak against Israel on every stage.
They promotes their agenda using their military service as a marketing benchmark so folks like yourself will think of their information to be reliable. Information from “the inside”. in that regard he surely can’t add anything more than I can, for example. He was a combatant in the Nahal and myself, a combatant in the paratroopers and I can tell you that their content is:
A. Exaggerated
B. Partly true or in the worst case completely false
C. Lots of what they describe doesn’t exist anymore in the army. The IDF does mistakes and learns from it. Evolves and continues to try and be better.

That being said you should always remember that service in the IDF is mandatory so you have a big portion of citizens that serve/seeved while those who speaks against the IDF are few.. Israel is a democracy when clearly everyone who wants to speak their mind , same as this gentleman or Haaretz newspaper, have their place.

Someone should have told the USA during vietnam that all you have to do to destroy tunnels is flood them or pump them with gas.
>ground absorbs water
>water traps gasses
If the VC figured it out I'm sure Hamas has too.

As I said very early on, the sensible military solution was to simply relocate the entire population of Gaza to refugee camps under guard and with no outside smuggling, each person inspected so no weapons / hostages brought in. And then the only people left in Gaza would be militants in Tunnels, which could be systematically razed without urban warfare hiding in tunnels under population centers. They'd have to be destroyed one by one, but that grinding warfare is exactly what Israel got- just ineffectually, because they pushed Palestinians around like peas on the plate and never acted decisively.

its virtually impossible to reconcile this argument with what we have seen over the last number of decades, never mind in the last 12 months. there are simply way too many incidents. so while there are truths in your statements it can be argued that as a consequence of military action, radical positions, that is to say, condemning IDF actions, are a natural consequence of the horrors that have been beamed around the world non-stop.

Establishing a refugee camp which can hold a population of 2 million from the ground up would have taken too much time and cost far too much. Also, you underestimate the size of this camp, and thus the amount of troops required to guard its borders and make sure no weapons or Hamas fighters are smuggled in.
