you dont really fight a barb on bow side so when they are close, you immediately swap to shield side. With your shield out and your D/A/E (dodge,avoid,evade), you have enough damage mitigation from 75% block + 35%DR + 63%ish D/A/E to stand still and jab/lightning fury a barb to death while they are trying to ww you to death.

Your defense setup, when you dont have any defense % modifiers, offers you little value, especailly because in that setup you got to drop GMB faith for a faster base with less damage due to your avialalbe ias to reach max arrow fpa.

therefore, you are giving up damage and frw to gain defense that you cant scale. A very poor trade off.


Same goes for vs. any type of WW sin. Better to have more damage on bow side when they are far away as when they are close, you will be on shield side anyway, on top of losing 30frw in circlet.
