I recommend you watch the movie "The Rape of Richard Beck". It's honestly eye opening and Richard Crenna is fantastic as always.

Most instances of women reporting rape its a false accusation.
The man is denied due process because in most states his defense isn't even allowed to impeach character of the person making the accusation.
Even when a women is proven to of made up a false rape accusation and it harmed an innocent man Prosecutors refuse to charge the woman with a crime.

There's a whole psychological element as to why women do not report these crimes. For one, a culture of fear, a culture that treats rape as if it isn't as serious as it is. There's a shame put on victims, rather than the perpetrators. And most importantly there's a too many people who simply won't believe them even if they have ample evidence to support otherwise.

Can women lie about rape? Yes. Is it a terrible thing to do? Absolutely, because it ruins the life of the person convicted. Does that mean we should not treat rape seriously? I feel like it's pretty common sense. We should have an environment and justice system that is better at identifying and going after real rapists and we should do everything to stop people from lying about serious crimes.

Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool.
