The difference would be that christain nations dont kill millions in the name of their god, in fact they do it in spite of their god preaching peace.

whereas say in the islamic civil war between iran and saudi arabia in a place like Yemen both sides are explicitly carrying out the war in the name of the prophet, following the exact teaching that the prophet commanded. find people who aren't islamic, and kill them if they refuse to convert. ironic that this same teaching led the two branches to kill each other for not being islamic enough and agree which side is directly related to the prophet. but the prophet was quite clear, his family that follows must lead the faith, so the disagreement can only lead to war and death until one side relents.
