If that's what you're referring to, my understanding is that Asmongold wasn't banned or censored in any way. He was just removed from a partner program where he received free verification and boosted by the algorithm.

This is an actual concern. I agree. And this is where Trump comes in. Elon's involvement in DOGE can and SHOULD be contingent upon his adherence to his own expressed values. If he violates the free speech principles he himself established, then it's time for Trump to reassess his appointment.

Unless I've been misinformed about the nature of the so-called "censorship", however, all he's done is remove free perks from an account that had no right to those perks. So now the streamer can pay his $8 a month or whatever, and get back to it. No worries.

Yeah I edited above but I think we're gonna see some controlling behaviour in the future from him yet. The hope being that he does also do some good here given the federal bloat which we also have here in Canada.

Censorship would be bans, post removals, suspensions, etc. And again, unless I'm misinformed (possible), this wasn't that. Asmongold has simply been put back into the same basket that 99.999% of X users are. You want Verification and the perks it brings? Pay for it. No more free ride.
