I am disappointed because I was hoping to see financial regulations put in around it and the rise of meme coins , predominately coming from influencers typically who cater to , very very young audiences that then grow into young adults. Again, great example being the Paul brothers.
And it is perfectly in my right to have that disappointment given it was my hope that under Trumps government we were going to see some financial regulatory changes in that area, and gambling in general. Its a very degenerate behaviour that's now being pushed extremely early due to how its invaded video games.
You can see the natural progression here. Kids getting early exposure via video games, influencers pushing it, suddenly its normalized to gamble on shit coins in young adulthood and carry on further destructive and degenerate behaviour further into life.
Its really not comparable to pogs, or trading cards, etc.
It's exactly comparable to pogs, trading cards, etc. When the market fell out from the pogs, people were left with empty bank accounts and a worthless meme coin, exactly the same as when the bottom goes out from meme coins, same as with... NFTs, yes?
You want regulation of such things NOW? After FTX hoodwinked HOW much for the DNC and Biden/Harris campaigns? How about the super highly regulated banks? How many Silicon Valley banks went bankrupt again, and why were they ALL supporting the DNC and Biden/Harris?
Pointing a finger at Trump, a guy who's been producing collectibles for longer than you've been alive, when to date, he's done nothing wrong, is stupid. And blind. You're better than that.
Edit: According to Ebay, my "well-used" Trump the Game board game is worth $60. I bought it for $10. It's even a fun game. Acquire is probably better, but yeah, good fun.
ahh i understand your issue now. when i said "the right" you read it as "he thinks all people on the right are the same". and i dont. if someone or some group of people on the right do a thing i'll call them "the right". i do the same if i see a person on "the left" do something. nothing about this means i think all people on the right or left do that thing or even support it. ive been talking about intersectionality in politics for a long time, its a topic i find quite interesting, so i dont think of either party as a monolith. but i do agree the left wing tends to express things in a far more monolithic way because of how that side of the aisle doles out punishment on disagreement, so they appear far more monolithic. its just ive talked to far too many of them irl to think they truly all agree. they've just made a devils bargain to follow the group think's consensus in an attempt to get more done, and it hasn't worked ironically enough. largely because the party has moved too far left to maintain support from the voting population.
Fair enough.
