80% Is owned by his circle but the base of ownership is allegedly very broad. lockout times are out to 24 months. so his fam gets unlocked in time to sell on inaugeration hype, and staffers will get unlocked later to sell at a much lower valuation. so not only scamming degens but also his staffers lol. such a dumb move.

Was there a better breakdown somewhere. I could only see each tranche that unlocks as "group 1, 2 , 3" etc and CiC Capital or whatever it was, which is owned by Trump.

i think its still rumor/speculation on the group contents. but its my hope he wasnt as stupid as to actually keep all of it in his family and friends. could be tho.

I'm not sure i would say scamming because i honestly don't think anyone is dumb enough to not understand this isn't worth anything. They've even covered their asses and clearly advertised it as a meme coin. The staffers, even if this coin value goes down 80% from here it's still a huge sum of money for literally nothing. That's why i compare it to gambling.

I hope this is the catalyst that significantly wipes out the shit coins. I think there's a lot of value down the road in block chain technology, but too much investment and liquidity is being sucked up by dead ends like the DOGE, Trump coin and all the other ones. It reminds me of late 90s when anything with a .com would have a massive and completely unjustified valuation, it was complete mania. We need a meteor event like the dot com crash to wipe out the garbage so you get the real wave of innovation. The meteor event happening is not a matter of if but when, and it will happen in a blink.

I think there are scams and they're are illegal scams. this doesnt seem illegal, but NFTs went boom then bust, maybe shitcoins can too. sadly as long as it makes millionaires people well be jaded and think they too can get rich, as well as celebs seeing it as basically a fan club they can monetize.

DOGE is a joke as far as crypto goes but i honestly see a use case for twitter payments. only because its so incredibly fractional compared to BTC. like if im tipping some poster on X i'd rather give them 5 DOGE than .0000000001 BTC. outside of that which is also a bit of a meme its got zero use, its not even a good store of value. still less pump and dump than XRP, those holders are like a cult.
