Are 2 essences being used for every one essence?
Is this a glitch or lag?

are you muting a heavy weapon? uses 2 per roll

I think the heavy weapon aspect is totally an unequal dynamic.


Drop rate and everything is the same. But somehow requires 2x essences

yeah it's weird. they drop less often.. at least make muting them GIVE you 2 essence if it takes 2 to roll it..

I was muting a staff and then a dagger
Also I had no clue that heavies were 2 essences, lame

heavy weapon drops are at least twice as rare as standard weapons. they also deal fractionally more damage for the same ee due to weapon speeds.

they're more of an icon than a staple, i think 2 essence is fine.
The question is are people rerolling heavies?

the answer is yes, longswords, spear and battleaxes are done by people with reasonably good sets. I would roll polearms on HC just to try and get a slightly better MQ weapon if essences were available.
Given that they're being rerolled i don't think the price is too high myself.

When I double tap the mute button on my phone it actually uses two essences. It performs the mute action twice.

Yeah, better to hold on a bit until the frame is updated.

I think this is an awesome idea.

If they take 2 essences to roll they could yield that as well to undo them. Maybe make it a % chance to happen or make them take longer to transmute.

That would also make finding heavy items more exciting and fruitful.
