From a leftist's perspective here

I could go on about all the issues with Republicans but at the end of the day Democrats are, functionally, worse for the country and the world than Republicans.

Now Fox News, right-wing media, and scam artist Donald Trump might have convinced you that somehow, the Democrats are dangerous radical leftists. This narrative is part of the reason why Democrats are also so awful for our country. They are a conservative party with some liberal social politics but that is as far as their left-leaning goes and that is intentional. But if you pay any attention to what the Democrats do in office, who funds them, and which policies they prioritize you will know deep down they areNeo-conservative party.

This premise is so dangerous because it convinces people that somehow democratic policy and leaders are left wing, and therefore, their awful failures are somehow something they aren't. They espouse democracy but do nothing to represent the voice of their people. They are completely submissive to the elites, and in recent times, even more so than Republicans.

They put up a facade of human rights, appealing to the fundamental and most important rules of all: The Golden Rule and the fact we are all created equal. But it's all performative. Now are there times where they make strides in social policies and help represent marginalized people? Absolutely. I wouldn't fault you for preferring them to the Republicans because of this. I've been one of them in the past.

But after I've seen so many well-meaning and like-minded people slowly transform into neo-con opportunists, police-state apologists and capitalists due to the rhetoric and affiliation with the Democrats: I am convinced they are more sinister for the role they play.

There is one major exception here and that is climate change. The Republicans are the climate change denial party (even though Reagan was one of the first presidents to start the initiative against it, despite his petty removal of the solar panels.) But I think too many people get wrapped up in American climate change politics because ultimately the world has to corporate to fight climate change, it simply cannot be the US alone. Also, under Biden we've backslid on this issue plenty of times anyway so it almost doesn't matter at this point, the damage is done.

Took you long enough. To add, uncontrolled immigration destroys local culture and drives the wages lower for the working class people. No one doing that can be called social or democrat.

Lmao. It might be extremely obvious but I feel like it's too often ignored especially with the Trump-scare stuff everyone goes on about.

Let me guess, you belong to one of the "minorities" who were told you'd create a more unison and anti-racist society by being "empowered" by social division and targeting "privileged" white males (not women! women never bad! ) to get back at the society.

I don't care for identity politics. My religion, race, sexuality and gender are irrelevant. I think the culture war fixation is obviously a distraction but that being said:

I also don't deny that white people, especially white Christians have historically had privilege in America and been the most represented. But part of that reason is the system the Democrats have taken a part in upholding but now they want to wash their hands of it.

I don't really know how strongly I feel about the discussion of identity politics. I think it's an important thing to recognize but at the same time I realize it's a liberal tool to have us divided, kind of the same way Republicans use anti-Immigrant narratives and racism to convince working class white people they're somehow in the "club".

TERFs are conservatism in social ideology. A feminist movement transformed into something hateful and regressive. They share a lot in common with how Democrats have functioned.

Women never bad! If 1 in 4 homeless people is a woman, homelessness becomes a female problem

If less males work or earn enough, it is also a female problem to find a provider  Everything in western society is only looked at if there is a problem for women and men are always at fault :D
Of course, males are privileged, so they can't have their own issues.

Women aren't a problem. But neither are men. Men and women face very different problems in America, or any where else. Women have historically been less represented in America, which is an issue in itself but no amount of Hillary Clintons will help women or anyone for that matter.

Women, for the most part, are not responsible for the homelessness of men. It's the ruling class (which ironically is comprised 99% of men). It's easy to see why someone would conclude men are the issue here. Because there are too many men in power and too many men complacent with that idea because somehow they see themselves in those people, even though we have nothing in common with them except sharing some physical features.
