"Blueflame Bracers Goldcast Cuffs adds intelligence and fire and cold resistances while converting all fire damage to cold damage."


if my wand has xx% increased fire damage - both says fire damage, so will be cold damage in the end?

anyone has tested this? dont wanna spend div on weapon and see its not working..^^

conversion comes first.

increased dmg-type comes later.

meaning, if you convert 100% fire to cold. 1000% increased firedmg do nothing -> 0 * 1000 = 0

thanks, i tried out with various items and noticed it too and maybe u know about %added as extra cold dmg seems stronger than higher amount of % increased cold dmg to my fireball? i wonder why, they count base dmg for %increased cold dmg and the %added as extra cold dmg is on top of multipliers?
as fireball is cold spell and gets bonus from %cold damage but its less

added xx% dmg as extra cold is a more multiplier to your whole damage

like, all the damage you deal is gonna be 100% of the damage you deal
you will always deal 100% of the damage you deal.

now you get 23% extra of that 100% as cold.

now you deal (100 + 23) 123% damage total.

your spell do 23to 46 fire dmg

you have 20% increased total spell dmg

you have 40% increased total fire dmg

you have 80% increased total cold dmg

you convert 100% fireto colddmg

your spell get converted to cold. now it does 23to 46 cold dmg

the dmg is increased by 20% spell dmg

(23 to 46) * 1,2 = xx

the dmg is increased by 40% fire dmg

(0 to 0) * 1,4 = xx

the dmg is increased by 80% cold dmg

(23 to 46) * 1,8 = xx

23 to 46 is 34,5 average.

20% of 34,5 is 6,9
40% of 0is 0
80% of 34,5 is 27,6

new average dmg is

34,5 +6,9 + 0+ 27,6 = 69

now you get 23% extra as lightning

69* 1,23 = 84,87 average damage

or something like that.
path of building probably explains it better
mine is probably wrong also somewhere
