I want to make my first Javazon soon and read quite a bit about shield choice Jmod vs Spirit vs phoenix but Not as much about the weapon choice.

I guess it comes down to 6/40 javs vs Thunderstroke when talking killspeed.

The advantage of a 6/40 is that you can reach the next ias breakpoint with gloves, highlord and one ias jewel in your griffon.
So you basicly gain one Ias breakpoint and + 2 Skills.

But isn‘t the damage per Hit quite a Bit higher on tstroke?
You can Go facet in helm instad of ias. You gain -20 enemy Light res and 5% lightning damage wich should be a lot more damage than + 2 skills.
This should be especialy stronger against light immunes, wich take the Most time to kill anyway.

So why would someone ever use 6/40 ? Does one more Ias BP add that much damage?

I know its Not worth to go for 6/40 when it comes to pricing. But even when you can afford it, I dont realy See it doing more damage than Tstroke, especialy against immunes.

Edit: Mana. Better physical damage on strokes also means more mana leech from ring/gloves, wich makes it easier to drop phoenix for Spirit or Jmod, adding Even more damage.

6/40 with the next ias bp will chew through mana Even worse than other setups, while having less phys damage for leech. Another disadvantage vs Stroke.

6-40 and jmod best combo i heard

More damage it's not what a javazon it's missing.

Thats what I heard too. But -20 enemy Light res and 5% light damage is much more damage with every throw than + 2 skills. Does one ias Bp realy make this up when it comes to damage?

And how does a 6/40/jmod zon manage her mana in pvm?
More ias means she spends even more mana and low phys damage damage makes mana leech much worse. Do you use Maek?
Like ias/maek in Griffon?

Thats what I think, too. But my question is more like: Does 6/40 actualy deal more damage than tstroke? Kinda doubt it, especialy vs light immunes. Starting to think 6/40 is not only overpriced but doesn‘t Even give you more killspeed.

the only time to ever use 6/40 is if you do purely baal runs as dps because you can get -res gear from armor and shield or if you're messing around in pvp since -res wont really be effective there. But pure java suck in pvp vs anyone even a quarter decent

For regular pvp tstrokes and titans are your choices

Little offtopic: Is maxblock worth it in pvm? Or is a Monarch with 4os and life Just better than Jmod ? Guess with dex from raven/razortail and maybe gloves/rings Pvm maxblock would be good with jmod.

You’ll only be using 4os shield for Baal runs where block doesn’t matter at all. A plain 4os Mon is all you’ll need.

I thought 6/40 was for PvP since you're not going to knock a players resist below 85 anyway

never worth it. you rarely block at all due to having dodge/avoid/evade

and you shouldn't be using any other shield than spirit in pvm outside of the fringe case already mentioned - exclusively doing team baal runs where you're never teleporting
