To be fair everyone does it to some extent. Culture is the antithesis of individuality. Steinbeck said something like "If fashion dictated that men wear necklaces of pig ears, it would be a sad man who could not wear one."

There are a lot of cultures to choose from now, and the more you fit into any of them the less of an individual you are. They are shelter from the storm when you are not strong enough to weather it yourself.

Its almost like theres no "pattern recognition" or stereotypes in those european cities, by natual born Europeans.

Maybe you should go and visit some of these places you seem so fond of. You have a very unrealistic fantasy about them.
