North Americans & Europeans. Anglosphere.
STEM in Europe is even worse. Pay is much better in America compared to here, but still garbage. A highly intelligent person has no incentive to stay in STEM when they can make much more elsewhere
Ignorant people who are illiterate with respect to science & it's labour market still think it's a lucrative career, it's comical really.
its funny while you're talking ignorance and refericing only the S from STEM, and likely looking at niche localized data.
if you work in STEM in most places in the country you can make a comfortable living, and STEM graduates outpace most other graduates. Why? because most pieces of the "graduate" pie have worse outcomes and there's so much fluff like humanities majors.
sure being a doctor or lawyer has better income, but if you're an engineer who isn't making 100k or close you're fucking up. same for accountants, or people in science.
idk what your post is even about, unless you're referencing pay in silicon valley lagging behind cost of living in silicon valley for run of the mill coders.
