Yep, single target vs. Mass killing. You have to consider how fury and pierce work.

Pheonix is a regen shield. The ed dont help a lot because it apply only on basic dmg (not Lightning fury dmg). And javazon dmg come from fury.

For my build, i dont need a regen shield. I need dmg and mobility. Thats why i prefer spirit.

Please link me to the testing that shows Spirit is more damage. PvPers believe Phoenix is more damage, and testing on Smiter showed Phoenix was more damage.


For pvm your dmg comes from lightning and for pvp it’s physical so for pvm spirit does more and for pvp Phoenix does more.

Pvm spirit >>>>Phoenix in all situations

You can fix your mana issues by using ML% gloves and Silkwaves as boots. Also 15 Ias / 3 MAEK jewel at Griffon helps. Also you should use Razortail and aim 100% pierce, most of your damage cames from Lighning Fury and you should spam it. ML% and MAEK keeps your mana pool up, which is high enough, because Fury melts fulls screen of chaos with only few attacks. Also buying pots is stupid ( and mostly not needed ), you can found them on ground.

If you really like keep your Phoenix and Arach then do it, but please stop sharing bad information here.

Mana is fixed by using insight+prayer merc and having 300+ mana.

With this, you can go with a Mara or a 2/20 amulet.

And it will wreck those terror zones.

Anything else is just more expensive and not as good.
Players who still suggest phoenix are just clueless, spirit is more dmg, fixing your fcr and fhr bps, more life/mana/res. You don’t need redemption for mana sustain… you just need a proper build with good enough phys dmg and a bit of mana leech.

Eth upped titans are extremely hard to beat for pvm. They have frw. They have much faster rep timer than rare javs, and their high phys dmg allows you to be full mana with just a little mana leech.
Might merc to help with that purpose.


I don't agree on the repair part. I use 6/40 on mine and even in chaos run, I don't repair that often :lol:

mate a smiter has 100% physical damage

a java has close to 100% lightning damage

ask yourself which one benefits from phoenix 400% physical ed.

and spirit is used on javas to reach 68 fcr and get a good base mana boost, not really for the damage from +2 sks.

Overkill dmg
Low fcr
Very low mana and mana sustain
Cost more mana per fury and tele
Lower frw
Lower fhr
Lower hp
Lower res
Less all skills (so less BO, pierce, dodge, etc)
Need to repair (“not often” is a huge lie)
More expensive build

The one thing javazon has over any other build is dmg. That’s the one thing you don’t need to care about.
To speed up the runs you need everything else.

Death belt gloves one upped.(seriously probably the most under utilized or mentioned for builds 30ias/ll/15res and cbf)
Rand ss.
Rand sunder.
Green hat.



Kill cows.
Kill chaos.
Score chicks.
