I do, you're right in that the sins of sloth, greed, and gluttony are all related but they are still distinct sins. I suppose video games could be considered gluttony from a consumption perspective, or sloth from an inactivity perspective.
See my edit on thyroid too :)
What i've come to understand as Sloth is lounging, sitting idly or laying down.
While others tend the field for crops, a Sloth would lounge under a tree not helping or doing anything productive.
/e Thyroid or other metabolic disorders reduce the 'energy out' part of the equation, meaning people with such disorders need to compensate either by eating less or exercising more
How about if one becomes injured?
Most obese people don't have a thyroid disorder. Their sin is a combination of sloth and gluttony.
From human medical and science, obese is a human defined term, referring to weight.
If we take time to read bible(s), Gluttony is not defined as such.
But I'm getting into biblical food law, which most people don't even understand.
And you might say, "you said the word food" Yes but metaphors are not.
