Vivek did do a complete rug pull and the proof is here:
https://www.politico.com/news/2023/09/16/ramaswamy-h1b-visa-gop-visa-00116383Thankfully, Trump is in charge. He hasn't commented on this, but Trump has been a stalwart champion against dysgenic foreigners coming here on work visas.
I'm not surprised, honestly. Vivek is an Indian and a baal worshipper. Indians are an extremely tribal people who openly discriminate against those outside their tribe, and they see nothing wrong with it. Here in Canada we are great model for what happens when you open the floodgates to the Indian hordes with legal "skilled" immigration. Its an unmitigated disaster. They take up ALL the low skilled minimum wage jobs and the marginally skilled jobs such as delivery driving. Then, they form ethnic enclaves, take over entire apartment buildings & discriminate against everyone who isn't their own, if they get a management position somewhere they only hire Indians, etc. Under NO circumstances can you let these people in.
Elon and Vivek both want hordes of people who will work for pennies on the dollar and 80 hour work weeks with deportation threats looming over their heads if they refuse. That's what this is about, and we see right through it.
Trump is very wise to have rejected Vivek for any cabinet or serious positions. Him and Elon are volunteer advisers for getting rid of government waste, that is all. I imagine Trump is absolutely furious right now with them stepping out of line on immigration. They need to know their place and stick to cutting government bloat, nothing else. Trump made it clear to RFK Jr. for example to focus on health, nothing else. You don't see him airing any opinions on immigration.
To Black's point about having a system for showing they need foreign workers, that doesn't work. We have that in Canada, it doesn't help the problem. Another point is that the true problem is chain migration. 1000 visa holders means 100000 more immigrants via chain migration.
Did you read his quotes ? He said families that come alongside the h1b aren’t here on thier merits and thats what he wants to address, is that not the opposite of what you said?
