I don’t find myself ever waiting for redemption to proc. The only thing that slows me down in P8 TZ runs is if I throw too much and have to wait for javs to rep.

I have tried 6/40 + Spirit setup for max skills (as opposed to max damage with Titans and Phoenix), but prefer the latter.

both of those setups subpar. 6/40 won't give you any sustain and the dmg isn't even as good as tstrokes and dmg with phoenix+titans is bad (prioritizing physical dmg is for sustain only since it is insignificant in dps when compared to fury)

If you don't notice having to stop for redem proc then it's because you play slow or your damage low enough that it takes you a while to clear the screen. 2 throws and maybe a poke should be enough for you to clear and move on.

With 6/40 Spirit I used MAEK gear. Also tried VIT / ENE split like Frostmaiden. Lower life but didn’t run out of mana or die.

In P8 Chaos for example someone invariably follows their own path and I proc redemption while teleporting.

I use Phoenix because I already feel my damage is overkill.

I understood 6/40 setup to be more damage than Tstroke. Also you can forego some IAS gear for even more skills.

I tried eth upped Titans and Spirit with Vita build and found that even with max mana leech on gloves and ring you still have to pot, especially in areas with non-leechable enemies.

Before sunder charms I suppose you could have worn Silkweave, but now need light res on boots.

Don’t need light res on boots and target your throws on leechable monsters whenever you can

Can someone please point me to an in-depth Javazon guide for D2R. I haven’t played in years and it seems with the changes that came with D2R I will need to brush up on proper skill/gear management.

Non tele preferably, with a list of upgrades and what to work towards.

Thank you!

Read post #4 carefully, that is the best way.

Well maybe you should move on another topic then and let adults talk.

The average person will never find the gloves and ring in post 4. For those with less than impossible to find gear Phoenix is a solution.

And some people don’t enjoy potting and buying mana potions, which slows down runs.

Please link me to the testing that shows Spirit is more damage. PvPers believe Phoenix is more damage, and testing on Smiter showed Phoenix was more damage.

I don't have maths but I have read a lot about Phoenix vs. Spirit debate. Over all, Spirit win on PVM. 2skills, fcr, res, +mana, fhr.

For the mana problem, I use 3ml gloves (2jav, 20ias, res) and 6ml + 1maek ring (10fcr, res).

Also, I use War Trav for raw dmg. People sleep on this stats.

From my limited testing I suspect that Phoenix is more single target damage whereas Spirit is more secondary damage beyond the initial jab or throw.

With Spirit you do tele 1 frame faster on the main hand.

You don’t need the FHR or res from Spirit. My lightning and fire res is actually higher with Phoenix. You also have more life and never need to pot.

Someone should time this on Chaos runs. Also the time between runs to buy mana pots with Spirit setup.
