It's kind of interesting, tbh. Congressional healthcare benefits would have covered her descent into dementia.
Who benefitted from her remaining in Congress while at a care home since July? Her staff, who has soaked up MILLIONS, without having to do anything.
It's almost like every single complaint about a bloated, useless government that produces nothing but exists solely to steal our tax dollars has been exemplified, no?
Edit: Note that a Congressperson only has to serve 1 term to receive Congressional Healthcare benefits for life. A Congressperson only has to serve 2 terms to receive Congressional Salary for life. There was literally no benefit for the dementia-ridden congressperson to not vacate their seat when they went into the care home. ALL benefit was received by the staff.
Those who're complaining "She was still getting paid to do her Congressperson work but wasn't doing it!" are idiots and don't understand the benefits of the more than 2 terms she served. No, it was the staff that hid the fact that were soaking up millions. Her benefits have remained exactly what they would be.
