Why you keep trying to make this personal
Or is it always personal if your disagree with someone?
That's a sad way to live

The whole thing is personal.
You are part of a group who wants something for free without working via products or services.

It's like waving a "i'm poor" flag when you made this thread.
atleast this is how I view it.

e- i'm not okay with my tax dollars going into your pocket.
I would be personally affected if UBI became a reality.

I flamed you, and am waiting for my suspension.
In the meantime I wanted to edit my post with some Cons, portrayed as positives.

I edited nothing out of my post. If you don't like the edit feature, maybe forums aren't for you.
I quoted part of your post, that's how quotes work, they are not required to contain everything.

Current estimates are AI will affect 10% of employment.
Nothing in life is a free and the only thing free is shit.

Adapt or suffer.
Do you think when tractors became available,
people with horses just rolled over and begged the government for money?

you removed most of my post to create a list of strawmans.

i literally said UBI cannot and should not go to everyone, and i said the payments shouldnt start now at all. then said UBI is a protection against socialism.

you then said payments will go to everyone, eluded to it starting, and called me a communist.

its pretty comical how little sense you make in your posts, but its typical at this point. you tend to talk the most about the topics you know the least, which is fun.

Well not much point trying to discuss something with you when you won't move from your position
I can't really stop you from taking it personally

I actually tried to avoid saying that specifically,
because you did make a decent point about it being for those most needing.

But this just comes full circle to it being yet another welfare system.

Genuinely ask any hard working American if they want their tax dollars going into non-working pockets.
You'll quickly see it does become personal.

Even if only the top 1% or 10% are charged the tax to fund the program?

welfare isnt a problem, scope of the system is the problem and fraud/abuse are a problem.

same goes for social security, food stamps, unemployment, etc.

none of them are inherently bad or even an issue for a balanced budget, its the scope that is the issue.

now apply that to UBI, when unemployment ramps up what will happen? already overburdened programs with too wide of a scope will be forced to give services to people, broadening their scope even more.

when instead we could collect funds now with a targeted automation tax and allocate funds on a very thin scope some time in the future to unburden those services.
